GIBB WINCHES ?????

Post by LES BLOOM »

I have a 1974 Typhoon weekender that is is equiped with two "GIBB" winches. Not sure if these are orginial equipment or replacements. I have not seen them installed on other typhoons in the area of about the same age. The only thing I have found out is that they were probabily manufactured in the U.K. Can anyone share any information or data about the winches (drawing/manuals/literature), or the company (address/email site/is the company still operating/etc).

Thanks in advance,

Try the Arco Winch Site www.webcom/winches/welcome.htm
They are sold in europe as Gibb; don't know that current models are the same as older models of the same size.
