Port Aransas Daysail

Post by Bill »

Hello

My name is Bill and I will be in Port Aransas July 10-12, would really like to crew for someone.

I own a Cape Dory 25D on an inland lake and wish to gain salt water experience. I have been sailing for three years, have completed Basic Keel, and COastal Cruising ASA courses. I have chartered a Catalina 30 in Corpus Christie and Sailed on a DuFour 30 out of Fort Lauderdale FL.

I am a non-smoker, social drinker (willing to provide liquid refreshment for the day, at the captains discretion), and work as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with youth-at-risk.

If you need crew for a daysail, please contact me. I know it is early, but I like to plan ahead!!!

Bill:

You might try contacting Island Moorings Yacht Club and Marina in Port "A" at 512/749-4100 (website: http://www.imyc.net/index.html).

Best of luck,

Bill,
Contact us closer to the date (I haven't a clue about our July schedule yet), if we're sailing I'm sure we could find room. People are friendly at the marinas that's how we got our first sail on the gulf: a sailor we met the day before admiring his sloop. Also, if we're not sailing I could post your note on the bulletin boards closer to the date. You don't happen to be in Seattle do you? We could use a day sail April 16-18, 1998!
