New TY Owner

Post by Shelby »

Greetings all. I have just purchased a 1977 CD TY daysailer.
The model with no cuddy. Hull number 39. I am looking forward to visiting with all CD owners and hope to get more information about this model of the boat. I have the paper trail telling me I am only the third owner of this boat. It seems to be in mint condition, spending many years in a barn. The orginal sails are crisp and fresh
with no tears or patches. I have seen a few pictures of this model of Ty but this one seems to have features others are lacking. So I really do not know what I have stumbled into, other than I am very excited having this boat. Shelby

Shelby,
Congradulations. Are you sure about the year and hull number? My "no cuddy" Ty daysailer that I sent you the picture of is a 1976 and has a higher hull number: 47. (CPDG0047M76C). What features does it have that you feel are extra? Would love to see some pictures. I have some additional pictures of my Aries, if you would like.

Matt, You are correct sir, I was told it was hull #39, but today as I was rigging, I could see the plate had been smugged with dirt, and the # was really 59. Will be taking pics as soon as get the boat cleaned up. I would really like to see your pics of this boat, that you have. Just email and I will do same. Shelby
