I would love to somehow rig up some shade for the "huge" cockpit (relatively speaking) that they Ty w-ender has. Has anybody successully done this? Details? How does it store while sailing?

My husband & I rigged an awning with 2 lengths of small diameter pvc pipe & a standard camping blue tarp. We drilled holes in the pvc pipe, sitiched sleeves to run the pipe through, put the whole thing across the cockpit above the boom & tensioned it with lines. While sailing we just rolled the tarp around pvc & put it in the quarter berth. Hope this helps, Jo
