I need to replace the winches on my 1976 CD25. They are Barlow 15s. Does anyone know where I might find Barlows. If not, any suggestions on other brands and what size to use.

Re: winch replacement CD25
I'm also needing the same. my CD25 halyard barlow winch slips, worn out. I need a new one. I'm confused on sizes. I bought a used one on ebay and it is not as tall as the one on my boat which is 3.5# tall. I'm so confused trying to replace it. there is boat length, sail size and not specific about what sail size.... ugh

Try this link for guidance. It is a comparison chart of the major winch manufacturers and has pertinent data which should be checked against currently published manufacturers specifications as a sanity check.madeline wrote: ↑Mar 30th, '25, 22:08 I'm also needing the same. my CD25 halyard barlow winch slips, worn out. Winch design and performance has improved dramatically since Barlow winches left the market so don’t be biased toward a direct replacement of your existing winch with an antique Barlow.
