What years did they make the CD 28 Flybridge Cruiser???

Post by Steve C »

My wife and I are looking for a more family boat and we liked what we saw with a 28 CD Flybridge Cruiser at our dock. We have not seen the inside yet but she seems to have a lot of room in her. I was wondering if you knew what years they made this boat? And anything else they could tell us about it I would greatly appriciate it.

Steve,

As far as we know, the CD28 was in production from 1985 to 1991 and was available in several different configurations. Click here for more info.

Don't forget to explore the rest of this web site. You'll find nearly everything you need to know about the majority of the Cape Dory models, power and sail.

We purchased a 28' Flybridge Cruiser in 1987 and was hull #66. I think that hull #200 was the last one built. We have owned the boat and for a young family of four it has been perfect for cruising the waters of Nantucket Sound, Buzzards Bay, and Block Island Sound. Now that the children are older , it's just my wife and I who cruise and the boat is so much bigger now!! There is very few of the 28' Flybridge Cruisers on the used market; the diesels are the most sought after as my cruises at 15 knots and only burns 5 gph!!
