I am looking for a new main for my CD28. Quotes I've recieved range around $1700 to $2100. Is this a good price range for a quality sail?
Or are there better deals out there I'm not aware of?
Thanks

Re: new sails for CD28
I recently had a new main sewn for my CD28. After getting quotes from UK and others for around $2100, I went to a Canadian Sailmaker in Kingston, Ontario (Kingston Sail Loft) and received a quote for about the same price but in Canadian Dollars. The total cost of the sail, when done, was about $1250 US. John Clark and Andy Soper can give you a quote if you give them a call at (613) 531.8909. Give them my name and he may still have the measurements for my sail although you will still need to give them more specific measurements for your CD28.
The sail was well-made and looked great with the new Cape Dory insignia sewn into the cloth.

Try Sail Warehouse out of California (1 800 495 7245) for your mainsail, as well as any other sail you might want to add to your inventory. I have used them on two other boats with great results, and prices far below the major sail makers!! They also have furler-sail combinations that will knock your socks off!!
