Pilot Light & "Bedding" ??'s

Post by Bill »

Hello to All

Well she's getting closer to the water.... Now just a couple more small chores and drop her in. (Unfortunately work is interferring (sp) with progress, Damn the luck).

Now the questions: I need a new pilot light for the electrical panel. WM only has small ones. Where can I get a replacement?

and

some of the "sealant" or "Bedding" used to hide the screwheads of the screws that secure the seacocks are exposed. What should I fill these in with? 4200? Epoxy?

Thanks in advance

I replaced my pilot light by going to Radio Shack and finding the smallest amperage 12v lamp they had. Thy actually had two types and not knowing which would fit better I bought both. The one I wound up using was packed with a twin, all for about $1.40. I think it uses about 20 mA, but can't remember. You don't need much light and you certainly don't want the battery to run down with this lamp on.

I thought of using an LED, but this little incandescent was a very low user of current. A sufficiently bright LED may use as little as a few mA.

If you find a lower amperage solution, please post.

I installed the radio shack lights today. The 1/2" light just snapped right in...

Sorry, but I didnt check the amps.

Thanks for the advise.
