Help, I need a new tiller for my CD25. Are such things available, or must one have it custom made?

Re: New Tiller for CD25 - you can make one

When the tiller on my Typhoon started to look a little too ragged I made a new one - not much that work. I made a laminating form with some wood blocks screwed to a piece of plywood - used the old one for a pattern. Glued it up with 1/4" strips of ash and mahogany. Did the shaping with a plane and spokeshave. It turned out great - and low cost, and I saved the form in case I ever need another.

We replaced our's several years ago. We were able to find an exact duplicate in a catalog and it wasn't that expensive(sorry can't recall which one). Accordingly, I think its a stock item and you should be able to locate a replacement fairly easily. Good luck, BA
