Can anyone tell me how I can find out what the hull number of my
CD28 is? Where do I find this information?

CD28 is? Where do I find this information?

Margrit, Look for the 12 character Hull Identification Number (HIN) on the transom, starboard side, about 2 inches below the deck. The first three characters should be CPD, which is the Coast Guard assigned Manufacturer's Identification Number for Cape Dory Yachts. The next five characters are the serial number, the first will represent your model (CD28) and the remainder will be your hull number. For example, my serial number is T0083, meaning I have CD 36 hull number 83. The final four characters tell you model year.
