Paint Color

Post by Bill Hammond »

I own a 1974 Typhoon Weekender. She has a white hull with light blue on the foredeck and cockpit. I want to paint the blue in the cockpit in the exact color but need to know the official name of this color. Does anyone know? Many thanks,

Bill, I did the same on my typhoon this spring. I used interlux "light blue" in the single-part urethane product. That product comes in a gloss out of the can, so I added the Interlux flattening agent in the maximum amount specified. It matched exactly the color that was on there before. I'm not sure if it's " the official/original color", but it was certainly very close, and a very nice look.
