Hi John, - On my boat, there are watertanks in the bow, under the starboard settee and
under the quarterberth. The fuel tank is to starboard, behind the engine. The holding tank is aft,
behind the bilge area. I'm not enthusiastic about it because it uses the inside of the hull rather than
a separate isolated tank.
The chainplate support structure is partly visible with a mirror. You would look in the cabinet in the
head and in the hanging closet opposite the head.
As with anything, there are advantages/disadvantages with the mid-boom sheeting. I like the
original system on the bridgedeck. I think the mid-boom system is okay if you have good, easy to
use traveller adjustment from the cockpit. One advantage is you can rig a fly between the dodger
and bimini to completely cover the cockpit -if you want to. I would check to ensure the traveller is of
good quality and securely mounted to the cabin top.
Good luck with your inspection - Jean

Hi John,

I'd just cut off the bands and add the two control lines and you are good to go. The turning blocks and cam cleats are already in place for the control line so that you and control from the cockpit. Looks like the port cam cleat is being used for another line that is coming from the bow not sure what that line is for.

Your traveler car is missing components. Perhaps this photo will help. The missing components may be the reason the hose clamps were used to fix it amidships. Be wary of other creative “fixes” as this may be an indication the previous owner has no mechanical skills but a strong urge to get involved with things he does not understand.
