Interesting dinghy option

Post by Joe CD MS 300 »

Just came across this. I’m not in the market for a new dinghy, but this relatively new option looks interesting. Might be particularly applicable to anyone who is frequently offshore or passage making and does not want to tow a dinghy. The prospect of a stowable dinghy that can plane with a relatively small engine is pretty cool.

Looks neat. I'll just have to wait a few years, I have always bought my inflatables used. Frugal sailor.

That "easy access bow design" looks really wet. If you've ever had to schlep laundry or groceries in a dinghy while motoring into the chop of a Caribbean trade wind you will know what I'm talking about. It's why people add awnings like this:

If all you are ever going to do is wear bathing suits and go snorkeling in sunny weather, it would probably be perfect. For an all-around yacht tender, it wouldn't be my choice.

Smooth sailing,
