I can’t speak authoritatively but I have noted that the E dimension on the 33 is 14’ and on the 330 it’s 13’. The J dimension on the 33 is 13’ and on the 330 it’s 13’ 9” which is attributable to the new headstay chain plate anchorage on the added bowsprit. It is inconceivable to me that the mast would have been located further aft. It appears the E dimension was reduced to accommodate a slightly smaller main to allow the addition of the double headsails on the 330 without altering the sailing qualities of the hull with the new rig.
