I’ve noticed that some are unable to access their boats on the forum. Restrictions vary widely and I hope they are lifted as soon as safety considerations allow. The boatyard where Orion resides has continued to provide services but the store is not available to customers. They do provide curbside service though. They have all repair services available and continue to launch boats but ask customers to avoid direct contact with staff.
I’ve been prepping Orion whenever the weather has cooperated. Saturday the hull was waxed and I put the interior cushions aboard. Sunday I went to the Defender’s sale and bought bottom paint. Yesterday we got a couple inches of snow, but today it hit 47° so I got the first coat of antifouling on the bottom. Tomorrow is a washout but with any luck Thursday should be warm enough for me to apply the final coat of antifouling. I want to have Orion launched immediately thereafter just in case there are service modifications at the boatyard.

Re: Steady progress
Orion is in her slip! Now I need to mount the boom, tune the rig, and get her sails in place. It remains to be seen what this season has in store. If nothing else I can stay aboard and reminisce about past adventures.

Re: Steady progress
I believe that is the first boat launch of the season for our yard. That makes three Cape Dorys on that dock. A derelict, Raven and the star of the bunch, Orion. All the boats are looking pretty good these days, with the ten foot rule in effect. I did get up close to Orion and gave her bottom a feel. She is as slick as she was the day she was first launched. Good job, Jim.
