Avon Redcrest ca. 1974....

Post by s2sailorlis »

I’m a pack rat..plus I occasionally hit estate sales and tag sales when I have time. Over the years I’ve gotten great things for next to nothing, or bought/sold and have made 1000’s of dollars, at least I did a 8-10 years ago when I was dealing in film cameras and polaroids...;)

At any rate... I picked up a “barn find” 1974 Avon Redcrest. Holds air. And the Hypalon looks like it’s from a boat only 10-15 years old. I picked this up along with an unused offshore PFD which normally runs $175 new and some other odds and ends for $60. The boat has the motor mount, yellow fiberglass seat, bow cover and storage bag.

No oars and no floor board (from what I’ve read the boards were optional...

Does anyone know the dimensions of the boards by chance....I already have a walker bay dinghy, used to have a nice Dyer Midget sailing dink (another barn find that I later resold making $250 on which paid for the walker bay....;)

Pix of boat attached...
