I like my TY SR a lot (it's a great Bay boat) but I want to get more into cruising next year out of the Bay into coastal Southern New England waters including going to local islands like Cuttyhunk, MV and Block. I've been looking at CD 25Ds but they have a lot of systems to maintain, and everything about them is more expensive, so I thought that I should also consider a CD 22D, since there are advantages to having an inboard diesel for coastal cruising.

Don't have a 22D didn't know they made them. But I do have the same cruising goals in my CD 27. Daysail upper bay out of E. Providence but did make it to Block Island this summer. Want to make Nantucket and Cape Cod canal next season. Perhaps you would like to sail together.
