Replacement portlight for 78 CD25

Post by swjones214 »

I recently had a leak on the port-side rear port-light. It was a small leak, but one that needed to be repaired. I tried removing the port-light yesterday, carefully cutting all the way around with a utility blade, etc., and unfortunately, the plastic flange broke in two places; I think the fact that its 40 years old didn’t help. My boat is a ‘78 CD25, so the port-light that’s been damaged is the 31in x 6in size, used on CD25’s from late 1976 to 1979. I’ve tried finding a replacement on all the normal websites, and the longest I’ve seen is 24in. Any suggestions on where else to look? I’d even settle for bronze, but haven’t found any of those larger than 24in either. Thx!
