Downhaul for CD 25

Post by casampson »

Any tips for setting up a downhaul or Cunningham for the main on a CD 25? I need one, but don't know how to go about doing a proper one. Pictures would be great.

Thanks.

the gooseneck fitting on my '76 Typhoon has an eye on the bottom and there is a cleat on the aft side of the mast near the base. a line from the eye to the cleat with a bit of hand-applied down pressure to the boom applies enough force for the mainsail trim in my case.
