Looking to buy a 'real badger or ox - tail brush for roll and tip this fall.
If anybody can recommend a good brush it would be appreciated.

I know it’s not exactly what you asked but I now use Jen-Poly foam brushes. I retired my badger brushes and could not be happier with the results. I just found I varnish and paint better with foam brushes. Lots of experts use foam these days.
A good friend of mine still uses badger hair but he is the only one.
We have applied gallons of varnish on the Far Reach with foam.
We had to roll and tip her with Awlgrip a year ago last spring. We were told a hair brush was the tool of choice. We tried but couldn’t make it work. Went to foam and it looks like it was sprayed.
