Cape Dory 22 for sale on the West Coast (Sold)

Post by Gary M »

Just letting you all know that my CD22 is sadly for sale, just in case some west coast interests see it here.

My wife and I do not use the boat as much as we thought we would now that we are retired and a recent slip rate increase has motivated me to sell.

NADA Guide says the High is $8400 and the Low is $7400.

My asking price is $6350.

The boat is in very nice condition.

The boat is located in Marina Del Rey, California. (Los Angeles)

If you are interested, send me an email so I can send you a link to a Google Doc with more photos and complete information on the boat.

I've owned and enjoyed it for 12 years and if I sign another slip lease I'll be enjoying it for at least another year!

Life Happens.

Very beautiful CD Gary!
And thanks for reminding me how truly fortunate I am to have a close friend with water front & docks...
Since 2011, Toni & I are living across the street from the docks and slip rent is very reasonable. He's also become like a brother & best friend all rolled into one. If or when we lose this slip, I may be putting KAYLA on the market as well. :(

Gary your 22 is beautiful and sorry to hear you’re needing to part ways.

Dockage is getting so expensive...the entire enterprise of sailing and boating is so high. Are there decent mooring options in SoCal? In Connecticut I’m only in 6 months and in a town marina, cost is under $1K. If I went back to a mooring I’d be at $600/year...

We’ve been hit with 5% cost increases for no apparent reason other than squeezing what revenue they can. We fought a 30% increase being discussed, but now it’s death by a thousand cuts at 5%/year.
