Gas Tank For CD 22

Have a Cape Dory 22 and my gas tank is in need of being replaced. Since it fits neatly in the Port side cockpit cabinet I am trying to find out where I can get a replacement. Any Suggestions? Thanks In advance. ~ Paul

Get the WestMarine branded 3 gallon fuel tank (it’s made by one of the big tank manufacturers.)

It fits PERFECTLY, no need for filing, slicing or cutting...usually goes on sale for $39.00....

What you’ll probably want to do though is drill an access hole thru the bulkhead in the fuel lazarette and bring the fuel line up thru the poop deck so you’re not messing around with a fuel line all over the place. I purchased a Spartan 3” bronze deck fill for the line to reach the outboard. Found a new one on eBay for 40% less than going to Chandlery...
