cape dory 28 cockpit scupper hose size ?

Appreciate any help.

I need to replace the hose in the cockpit drains and I wonder what kind of hose people get and what is the diameter of the hose ?

The size will depend on the seacock that was used, which may differ by boat --- check the existing hose, it will often be labeled.

When I did a similar repair, I chose wire-reinforced shieldsflex II marine hose. It is very expensive, but appears to be of highest quality, which was important to me for this critical application.

I can tell you that on our CD36 the original hose was 1-5/8" wet exhaust hose. 1-1/2" hose would not fit on the scupper drain fittings. I'm not sure if this also applies to the CD28.
