I have had a Seaworthy policy on my Typhoon for 10 years. I have never made a claim and never asked anything of them. In return my premium has stayed the same.
I received my renewal in the mail today with a 51% premium increase. When I asked why I was told that boat repair costs were going up. Since this policy carries a $6,000 agreed value, this rationale is complete BS. This is a gutless company who has decided that they no longer want my business, but rather than saying that they just jack the premiums until I go away.
I had Geico automotive insurance once in the past and left for much the same reason. Seaworthy was different, at least for a while. They have now adopted the full Geico model - thank you Warren B.

Re: Geico/Seaworthy
I have had my boats insured with Progressive for about 20 years. They are easy to deal with, quite reasonable premium-wise and they will insure older vessels!
When USAA started bumping our auto rates, I contacted Progressive, got a much better rate and they sent me a refund for my boat insurance since we were now a multi-vehicle-vessel policy...

Re: Geico/Seaworthy
National Marine Underwriters has been pretty stable price wise for me. I changed to them around 2006 after my former insurance company tried that trick.
