Far Reach--New Website

We documented the six year rebuild of our CD 36 Far Reach at http://www.farreachvoyages.com. But the site, hosted by Networks Solution has become difficult to manipulate because they no longer update the software of the older program we used. I began to have difficulty loading photos and manipulating the text. We talked with them about upgrading but they explained I would have to manually rebuild the entire site since they could not transfer the data. That's not happening as I don't have the time or inclination to do that. We have more than a thousand pictures and hundreds of entries on the original site.

When we were sailing the West Indies in 2016 we started a sailing blog with Wordpress because I could make entries on my phone and it was free.

Since we relaunched the FR in August I have begun to use the Wordpress site exclusively for sailing entries, repairs, and modifications. We will continue to keep the original website up and available since it has all our documentation and because it seems to be popular with over 66,000 vistors and more than 400,000 page views.

Our original Wordpress site had a weird glitch in the address. I got it sorted out tonight and the new more streamlined address is http://www.farreachvoyages.wordpress.com. We never enabled comments on our original website but we have on this one. And you can also subscribe if you so desire.

We look forward to hearing from you over there as well as seeing you out on the water now that we are actively sailing again and planning future voyages.
