Engine& Elec. Consultation in North Shore Boston Area

Post by RobertaMoss »

I am in Marblehead, MA. I have a Cape Dory 25, Auburn, that I haven't launched in two years, and a Cape Dory 28 that I purchased in the fall of 2013. I have never launched it since I purchased it. After recovering from several years of multiple family illnesses, I am now planning on getting back out on the water. I plan to launch both vessels and hopefully sell one one them. Can anyone recommend a person to look at my Volvo Inboard and the electrical system? Both boats are in my back yard.

My late husband, Roy Jacobowitz, used to be very active on this board several years ago. He always said it was a great source of information.
Thanks,
Roberta Moss

MaineSail (Rod Collins) is a smart, straight up, and through tech.

He's often online here and comments superbly. Some searching for Compass Marine may turn up a phone number.

His travel time would be worth the investment.

Roberta:

I think this is the website for Maine Sail that Maine Buzzard referenced in his post:

http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/boat_projects

This is his "profile" page on this board.

There are one or two other "MaineSails" on this board. It gets confusing. The above profile is, I am pretty sure, the one that Maine Buzzard referenced.

Here is a brief article by RC Collins, a/k/a Rod Collins:

http://www.pbase.com/mainecruising/abyc

He is based in Maine but, as Maine Buzzard said, it may well be worth it to have someone like Maine Sail go over your system(s).
Fair winds,

Roberto
