Vendee globe

Post by pete faga »

They are off tomorrow
yikes 29 boats
Wonder how the 'new generation' boats will hold do under the various wind conditions?
I was hoping Sam Davies would be on the starting line for the 3d time or another female but no luck.
Rich Wilson a Boston sailor at 67 will be on the starting line for the second time.

Thanks Tim for the excellent footage.
My mother grew up in London so I loved when Alex put up the union jack!
Rich Wilson is holding on in the middle of the pack.
Should be interesting this week as most boats will be tested in the roaring 40's
Thanks for posting

After 73 days in with 500 miles to go only 50 miles separate 1st and 2nd boats.
Pretty amazing duel.
