Mystic Studios, CT-Teak Toe Rail Profiles- Still in Biz?

Post by dgsail »

I contacted St Angelo Hardwoods (the original teak supplier to CD boats) from our web site. The owner told me that they gave all of the profiles to a place in Connecticut called Mystic Studios. Was not sure if they were still in business. Does anyone have any insights or contact info for them or their owner?

Debbie:

This may be the company: http://www.mysticscenic.com/

Mystic Scenic Studios is in Norwood, Ma.

In a Google search there is a photo from Mystic Scenic that shows a sailboat. It is possible they bought the stuff from St. Angelo Hardwoods.

Good luck :!:

As I recall past contributor to this forum, Duncan Mayo,(Maio) was involved in this company and owned a CD27. It may have been his impetus to aquire the millwork profiles. I don't know if they currently provide this service.
I do know that there is nothing complicated in replicating any of the profiles for CD millwork, the profiles are specified in the owners manuals,(available from this site). Any competent wood mechanic with a table saw and shaper/router can produce this woodwork.
