This is an interesting (and for me educational) article on servicing the injector on the Yanmar 1GM that many of us have in our Cape Dory 25Ds, 27s, and possibly some early CD 28s.

It is authored by Paul Calder who I believe is the son of Nigel Calder. I cannot confirm the accuracy of what is written in the article but I assume Dad reviewed his son's work product for content and accuracy. Dad literally wrote the book on servicing diesel engines.
I said "possibly some early CD 28s" because I seem to recall that Paul C. purchased a Cape Dory 28 and has been doing a lot of maintenance, repair, upgrade, etc. on her.

Re: Servicing injector on Yanmar 1GM
After doing further research, it is possible the above article relates to a community project sailboat (a Cape Dory 27) and not to Paul C.'s Cape Dory 28. I believe a lot of CD 27s had the Yanmar 1GM or 1GM10 installed.
