Does Diesel go Bad
I have a five gallon container full of two year old diesel. The container has never been opened since it was filled new. I have kept it in the aft lazaret as backup. I should have used it sooner, but it turns out that I do not go through five gallons of diesel a year. Can I still use it? Should I? Our boat has a Racor 500fg fuel filter with a 30 micron element.

This is a bit of a self serving article since they sell stabilizer but:

If you have oil heat at home you can use that old diesel fuel as heating oil and get some fresh fuel for the boat.
