source for canvas tarp

Post by s2sailorlis »

Anyone know of a good source for purchasing a canvas tarp for a winter cover?

Also any tarp types to avoid? I have read some will discolor and stain over time.

I buy mine at Northern Tool. Real canvas is the only way to go IMO.

Try Sailrite. They are a great company to deal with!

I was very happy with the quality of the canvas tarp I got for my 25D from http://www.chicagocanvas.com.
I got the heavy duty canvas tarp in green. It has been great. There was a small amount of transfer of the green from the tarp to small portion of the mast when I stored the mast on crutches on the boat. Nothing on the gel coat though. Other than that it survived a nasty Long Island winter without issue and looks like new....
