Last week I received the following email:
<b>I presently own the molds for the cape dory 270. We have renamed it the hadley 27 and are planning to build it as a semi-custom yacht. If anyone needs parts {deck, cockpit hatches, centerboard, or rudder} please contact me. Thank you.

I have no further information, and he didn't respond to my email reply. If anyone knows anything more about this builder or the Hadley 27, please post the info or let me know.

Molded Parts for CD 270 Available

Hadley 27
Walt:
I recently read a magazine article reviewing the Hadley 27 (Think it was in Sail, probably somewhere between Sep and Dec '99. After looking at the pictures and the specs and the designer listed as Empacher, it bacame abundantly clear that it was the Cape Dory 270 reborn. Strangely the article did not mention that fact. The boat was well recieved and I recall the article saying something about appealing to a "modern cruising family" due to the large amount of room down below for a 27. I guess CD was ahead of their time!!!

Re: Molded Parts for CD 270 Available
A Review of the Hadley 27 appeared in the November '99 issue of SAILING MAGAZINE. It sure sounded like the CD270. Glad to know where to find parts. The builder is: Triangle Marine Engineering Ltd. P.O. Box 208 North Kingstown, RI 02852.
