Webmaster?

Post by Jim Walsh »

Is the inability to log in and stay logged in being experienced by all? Has the site been hacked? Is the issue recognized and being worked?

Jim:

I received an email from Bob Dugan this morning. He advised that both he and Cathy are cruising and have limited access to Internet.

I should have my 20 lb. sledge hammer by the end of the week. You may rest assured and comforted with the knowledge that I will then attack this issue with a vengeance. :D :D :D

I have been able to stay logged in on my iPad and my office laptop.

Have not experienced any issues.

Office laptop uses Google Chrome.

Problems with Safari, OS X 10.4.4, but no problems with Chrome on the same OS. Thinking the source of difficulty might be the July 23 upgrade to the OS and Safari.

I received an email from Bob Dugan this morning. It reads, in part:

"There's not much I can do until I get to a real internet connection and someplace that has a real phone. I think that the problem is our system was moved to a new server and that server has a newer version of php the language that board software was written in. This new version of php is incompatible with the board software so a number of features on the board are not working properly."

Thanks Sea Hunt Video.

I just got off a chat with the tech support people that run the ISP. They reset the version of php to an older version that hopefully will be compatible with the board software. Please kick the tires and let me know if there are still problems. I may be able to revisit this weekend when I'm near a better internet connection.
