Anyone else unable to log in?

Post by Sea Hunt Video »

As everyone knows, I am a Neanderthal dinosaur when it comes to computers.

That said, today I was unceremoniously booted off of this website. I tried logging back on several times and was repeatedly (and unceremoniously) booted off each time. I was using Internet Explorer 10.

I called a buddy who is a computer geek for one of those alphabet soup federal agencies and he told me to try logging on via Mozilla or Firefox.

I did and am able to (I think :!: ) post this message.

I have looked at recent posts and it looks on my computer screen like no one has posted since yesterday morning. This seems unusual to me.

So, am I the only one experiencing this issue with Internet Explorer or are others having the same issue :?:

Bob glad to see that you got through. I was beginning to think that it was a system error!

Bill:

I can only "log in" via Firefox/Mozilla. I cannot log in via Internet Explorer.

I am guessing it is not just me but then ................

I've been unable to log on the last couple days on my iPad. Gave my iPhone a try and it works. I'm in a very poor reception area (out cruising the islands , Cuttyhunk, Martha's Vinyard, Block)and obviously the phone has a better ability to pick up a signal so maybe that's my problem.

All kinds of weird error messages even though my posting worked. I think we have website issues.

I thought everyone, but me, had been invited to a sailing party. I could log in, but "no one was home" :?

To offer this post I am "logging in" from Firefox/Mozilla. I am not , at this time, fully cognizant of why I am able to log in via Firefox/Mozilla yet unable to log in via Internet Explorer 10.

As a self-authenticated "expert" in "Information Technologies" (that is, "IT") I am prepared to offer my services to make a good faith effort to fix the issue(s).

I come equipped with a construction/builder's hammer, a 12 lb sledge/engineer's hammer (for difficult issues), a flat head and Phillips head screw driver set, plus, in case the above computer tools fail, I have access to an acetylene welding system should "drastic measures" be necessary to employ.

I offer reasonable rates - given the gravity of the situation. :D

Anyone else unable to log in?

Post by Sea Hunt Video »

My preliminary investigation has determined that elements of the Chinese military and intelligence services are responsible for the current issues with the CDSOA website. Apparently the Chicoms are interested in our Cape Dory sailboats and want to learn as much about our sailboats and their owners/caretakers as possible.

I just entered our website using my normal Chrome browser - no problem. But the only posts I see are related to this string.

Roberto - you mention you are using IE 10 - is that the new Windows 10 browser???

Bob:

Apparently, I actually have Internet Explorer 11. I called my buddy who is a computer geek for an alphabet soup federal agency. He tells me he programmed my computer for auto updates of Internet Explorer. When he last worked on my computer it was apparently IE 10; now it is IE 11. Who knew :!:

Anyways, whether IE 10 or IE 11, I cannot log on to the CDSOA website. I am only able to log on via Mozilla/Firefox. I am convinced it is the Chicoms :!: :!: :!:

Jim:

I am doing the best I can. The 12 lbs. sledge hammer did not work. I have special ordered a 20 lbs. sledge hammer. As soon as it arrives I will resume "fixing" the problem. Please be patient.

Roberto,
I am trying a pint of Guinness taken PRN.
It seems to help. I still have a hard time logging in, but it doesn't seem to bother me quite as much. Sainte!
