Mooring installer in Portland, Maine

Post by Bill Coogan »

Next week I am going to put my new Cape Dory 30, "Flying Bugster II," (long story) in the water for the first time, and I want to have a mooring ready for it. I have permission from the Portland harbormaster to install a mooring and would appreciate hearing from anyone who can recommend someone to put it in. Thanks in advance!

Did you ask the harbormaster? I'll bet he or she knows plenty of people who could install your mooring for you.

The harbormaster has given me a list of about twenty eligible companies. I could throw a dart at the list, but I'd feel better with a recommendation.

We have our mooring in Falmouth and use Atlantic Mooring Services. I believe they cover Portland also.
