Good Old Boat Review of Cape Dory 27

Post by Sea Hunt Video »

Good Old Boat is doing a review of Cape Dory 27s. You can send thoughts and comments as indicated below in an email GOB sent out earlier today:

"We are looking for input from current and former owners of Cape Dory 27s for our upcoming boat reviews. Do you know someone who owns or has owned one? If yes, please forward this message to that sailor.

Please send your comments to Dan Spurr at: danspurr@aol.com by June 1.

Specifically, Dan wants to know about:
· sailing characteristics (good and bad)
· level of quality in the build
· what you like most about the boat
· what you like least about the boat
· specific problems you and others have had with this boat, like a leaky hull/deck joint
· advice you would give to someone considering buying this boat
"

The above in italics is quoted directly from an email notification.

The deadline is 01 June 2015. That seems like a short "turn around" time but ..............
Fair winds,

Roberto

True to their word, Good Old Boat published an article on Cape Dory 27 sailboats in its September/October 2015 issue.

The five (5) page article featured a Cape Dory 27 owned by Phil Bills (Scotch's Too III). Very nice photos, diagrams and discussions. Comments from several other CD 27 caretakers were also quoted in the article.

Phil's reasoning for naming his CD 27 is an interesting read as well.

Congratulations :!:

They basically could just sum it up in one short paragraph,

"Before the cape dory 28 was determined to be the perfect size and boat, they company mistakenly made the ill fated 27."
