Survey: Sailing as a transformational experience

Perhaps some of the sailors on the board would be interested in participating in an interesting-looking survey. Here is the email message I got about it:

Good Morning. My name is Rosie Kuhn and I am in the process of doing research on sailing as a transformational experience as part of the requirements for a Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology. I am writing to ask if you would post this announcement on your bulletin board stating
that I am seeking sailors who are willing to share their stories and experience of how they have changed and grown personally through the sport of sailing. - not something many sailors are willing to discuss, yet I feel that it is important to understand what it is about sailing that attracts certain people and how they have changed and grown, perhaps unbeknownst to themselves.

I have placed a questionnaire on the Internet so as to reach as many sailors as possible around the world. Responding to the questions takes approximately 45 minutes to an hours. Those who have already responded have shared that they were surprised at how much they learned about themselves and their attraction to sailing.

My own background it that I am a blue water sailor, and since being in school curtails my traveling, I have been teaching sailing at OCSC for the past three years.
