I am not complaining but this seems to be a very odd hurricane season.
We had a couple of named storms in May, which is very early. There has been a lot of storm activity but not too many major ones. What seems most odd is the tracks that the recent storms have been taking.

Tropical storms are not supposed to travel east before they even reach the Gulf Stream.
My pilot charts show nothing like what has been happening lately. Bermuda has been getting hammered while Florida has been spared. I Think the Maritimes have gotten more storms than the Gulf.
So what is going on, Steve.
