swim ladder modification

I am modifying a ladder to fit the transom of my 27. can any one tell me how thick the transom is? Thanks.

I think if you figured 1/2" you would be good. Probably a little less, Steve.

I removed the swim ladder from my CD 28 and replaced it with an Aries wind vane. This involved drilling through the transom to attach the mounts for the wind vane brackets. While I did not measure the thickness, I would say that it is less than a half inch. The windvane mounts each have substantial backing plates ... I assume you will include backing plates as well?

I hated giving up my nice folding swim ladder...but I love the windvane.
