I am getting ready to re-install my traveller. I plan to use Boat Life Caulk under the teak strip and butyl tape under the traveller rail. I am told that Boat LIfe has a superior hold on teak, particularly when using the cleaner and primer sold with it. It is also available in a mahogany color. The deck does not appear to be cored at the position of the traveller rail.
