1974 CD25 - Pintle For Sale

Post by KDreese »

Wanted to let everyone know that Pintle is for sale. She is a great boat with lots of newer equipment (Thru hulls, 2009 engine, wiring, tiller pilot, etc.). With all the travel I just don't have time to sail her. Thanks to everyone for all the help over the years that I have owned her; this group has been amazing.

Note - Link below is to the broker listing. If that is not appropriate please let me know or remove the post, however if I weren't traveling I would sell her myself.

Nice Boat

Post by KDreese »

Bumping to the top for the new year. Pintle is a nice boat with some nice equipment including:

- New 4 stroke motor!
- New tiller pilot!
- Replaced and upgraded thru hulls!
- etc etc

Great boat for someone that wants to jump in and go sailing. The hard work has already been done.

The boat is located in Hingham at Hewitts Cove Marina. I am asking for $5K but ALL reasonable offers will be considered. As mentioned in the summary above she is a good boat with all the major items taken care of including a new motor (2009 with barely 10 hours on it), autohelm tiller pilot (2009 used onced), new thru hulls, new Origo stove (2007), etc. Owning the boat was a dream fulfilled, but I am selling due to my wife's illness. We just don't use her enough to justify ownership; she should be sailed! As mentioned, all reasonable offers will be considered; I just want to move on at this point.

If you want to see the boat I am working with a broker at the marina (I am a little far from the boat to show it all the time). His contact information is:

If you would prefer to ask me questions about the boat feel free to contact me via private message on this board with your phone number and I can give you a call.

All offers will be considered. Good chance to get a good deal. The boat is on the hard for the season and I am hoping to not have to pay for winter storage again. Honestly, she is a nice boat with lots of new/newer major items including motor, auto pilot, stove, thru hulls, etc. Not to mention not one but TWO motors (2 stroke and 4 stroke). Great first boat or first Dory.

Boat sold end of August and is off to Long Island. Of course I find it mildly interesting/ironic that basically the day it sold I finally get one response on this forum posting. LOL.

Seriously though this board has been a great help to me with my first boat and CD's will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks to all, and enjoy the sailing. Fair winds, etc etc.

Best
