Boom Kicker on Typhoon
Has any one used a boom kicker on a typhoon. I would appreciate any insight in regard to its advantages and limitations. I currently have a topping lift, vang and no pigtail.

boom kicker
Jeff,
I added a boom kicker to my typhoon and I am very pleased with the results. You can get rid of the topping lift and it provides support when sailing downwind in light air. I inserted an aluminum slug into the mast slot just above the halyard exit blocks to mount the fitting. After the boom kicker is in place you still have room for a 4:1 micro block boom vang. If you need more info I could send a picture of the set up.
