Typhoon daysailor sidestay question

I recently purchased a Ty daysailor and noted that the sidestays and forestay are all attached via one pin in the masthead. The sidestays attach via sheeves and the forestay ends in a loop fitting that has been drilled out to accomadate the 5/16ths (I think) pin. I am thinking the sidestays should attach to the sides of the mast and the forestay should be on a toogle of some type.

Any thoughts or ideas where to look would be appreciated.

Sounds like a strange setup, can you post a pic? My sidestays are attached to the mast with tangs.

Here is a Ty Daysailor masthead. The shrouds (side stays) are on a tang bolted through the mast. You can also see the forestay attached to the cast masthead fitting (just behind the spinnaker bail). One of the two halyards is not present in this photo.
