CD30 sails

Post by Murray Glue »

Just fitted the brand new main and staysail which we got with
" Dayspring " ( CD 30 1979 Hull 107 ) and went off to sea for
4 or 5 days. A terrific improvement in the sailing performance
was noted.
The two new sails were made by Larsen Sails, Santa Cruz. They
are well made and set very well. Can anyone enlighten us as to
where we might be able to get prices of new Cape Dory sails??
In particular we would like a new yankee and genoa for the CD30
cutter rig.

Thanks in anticipation

Why not try the same loft that made the new ones you have (Larsen), if they are "well made, and set very well"? Otherwise, look for a reputable loft in one of your towns. This is all very obvious; what I'm really curious about is if "Dayspring" sailed to New Zealand on her own bottom.
