Does anyone have pictures or the drawings of a Cape Dory 14?
I have been offered one and want to know what sort of boat she is before I drive 500 miles to pick it up!
You can send them to me at pcarroll@ibm.net

Thanks!

Paul,

The CD-14 is a catboat with a gunter rig. She sails good, rows great, and can handle a small outboard. She has a steel centerboard. I probably have a photo somewhere. I do have photos of the rudder, sailing rig, and centerboard tackle if you are interested in details.

I think I have a book with a line drawing of the 14. I will scan the page and send it to you.

Good luck,

Ken Coit

I had heard from a CD dealer that the 14 ships alot of water over the gunwals when heeled and doesnt point well. That prevented me from following through and buying one last year for an asking price of $1500 although I have never sailed one. They should row well although they are several times heavier than a whitehall built expressly to row.
