Campbell Sailer Prop

Post by moctrams »

I replaced my engine this summer with a new Beta 20hp and the folks at West by North Enterprises recommended the Campbell Sailer Prop. It is a 12 x 7 that act like a 12 x 9. It is a perfect match and it performs wonderfully.

About ten years ago I replaced my old Volvo MD&A with a new Volvo 2020 which has the same horsepower that your engine has.

The only difference is mine is a three cylinder and has a top rpm
of over 3500, although I usually run it at around 26-2800 rpm/.

The shop that installed the engine also had a three bladed prop
made up with the measurements of 13x8 with a one inch bore-right
hand.

Best advise however, is go to a good prop shop with the specs on your engine, size of the boat as well as the weight. They should be
able to set the pitch and match a prop to your boat and engine.
