After a year of ownership, we have sold our Cape Dory 28, "Caprice," to a young Canadian couple, Mel and Karla Vincent, who sailed her last week to her new homeport of St. John, New Brunswick. "Caprice"performed superbly on the cruise north, mostly in peasoup Maine coastal fog. The Vincents are delighted with the boat, and we wish them well. My wife and I have returned to our first love, wood boats, having purchased a fully restored Hinckley 36 (circa 1954) yawl, "Glimpse." This is just to say how much we have enjoyed the online companionship of other CD owners on this page, how much we have learned, how much we have shared, and how much we have come to appreciate the fierce loyalty of Cape Dory owners to their boats. I doubt that there is another class of sailing vessels with this kind of ownership devotion. I'll continue to look in on the CD page to vicariously share in the experience. Good sailing and fair winds – Joe Brown, Rockport, Maine.
