Funny you should ask! My wife and I are considering moving up to a CD40. We now live on our 31 and love the boat but more space would be nice. You can read about her on our website kaldenbach.us and how we fixed her up after Ike. The survey done afterwards considered her to be in above average condition. She has 2 yankees, 2 staysails, and 3 main sails. AIS B, Garmans 440S and a Garman 176C chart plotters, New 2010 raymarine instruments.

I have a 1984 Cape Dory 31 located on Lake Lanier in Georgia.

New Mack Sails - just installed; Force Ten Stove and Cozy Cabin Stove; Fridge; new cabin reading lights; new Raymarine wheel pilot; approx 975 hours on engine.

no damage; no blister problems

I'm the third owner; the second owner was a neighbor and I spoke with the original owner on the phone; I have the original bill of sale and other interesting documents such as full color brochure and of course the manual.
