Watertender 9.4

Post by Mike Thompson »

Does anyone have experience rowing this? The WM catalog calls it as a "Rowing Dinghy"
and that's how I will be using it to get from shore to my boat.
To my eye the cathedral hull shape (modified tri-hull) is rather ugly but once I get use to that it will be its performance that matters.

(I am about to retire my WaterTender 9 which is no longer manufactured. This had a
conventional rowboat shape.)

We had one when we were living aboard our IF41. LOVED it.

Extremely stable -- we once used it as a platform to apply our homeport graphic and even with two of us moving around in it, it was very stable and the graphic went on straight.

Also surprisingly roomy -- plenty of room for us two "non-small" people and sundry stuff.

Very easy to row. Ugly, yes. But if we ever need another dinghy, we'd buy that one in a heartbeat.
