I have been searching for a gas tank to fit in my CD 22 and and having difficulty finding one. Does anyone know where I might acquire such a tank?

If 3 gallons will do, you might try Go 2 Marine.

I can't speak to the CD22, but from my measurements, BRP Evinrude Johnson Part Number # 177001: UNIVERSAL Duratank 6 Gallon Fuel Tank will fit the CD25, with very little room to spare. You'll have to measure to see if they'll fit your boat. The following is the correspondence with evinrudeparts@yahoo.com which gives the dimensions of the tank.

Help!

I need to know the dimensions and availability of the BRP Evinrude Johnson Part Number # 177001: UNIVERSAL Duratank 6 Gallon Fuel Tank. I need the dimensions to determine if these tanks will fit in the space available. I will need 2 tanks.

Thanks.

CD-22 Fuel Tank

Post by hughesw »

I use a 3 gal fuel tank that I bought a the local from Bass Pro Shops. The manufacturer is Moeller-Scepter-Neptune; manufacturer's part number is 04158. Measurements are 16.76" L X 10.75" W X 8.00" H, and it fits in the locker without modification. (Maximum height inside the locker is about 8 1/4".)

Bass Pro Shops Item Number: 38-580-664-00, and sells for $22.99

It looks to be the same fuel tank that Michael mentioned from Go 2 Marine, but the manufactuer part number is different and the height of that tank is listed as 9.87".
Hope this helps,

Warren

Good spot, Warren!

Bass Pro actually has several Moeller tanks, including the one Go2 sells and they sell it for less. The "econo" tank does not have a fuel level gauge, but at only 3 gallons, that should be easy to tell by lifting the tank.

Bass Pro Fuel tanks.
